Become a Certified Rigger Level 1

Our Certified Rigger Level 1 Package includes the online 5-6 hour self-paced Rigger Level 1 course, practical instruction video, a timed Essential Rigging test, a timed Practical written test (must score at least 80%) and a required instructor session via Zoom.

NOTE: New regulations go into effect on December 17, 2022 - under ASME B30.5-3.1.2.2 Qualified Riggers (“Certified”) are required when working with any type of Mobile Crane including Crawler Cranes, Locomotive Cranes, Wheeled Cranes and any variations of cranes that retain the same fundamental characteristics of 1 ton or more. Qualified Riggers must pass written and practical examinations (“Certified”).

The tests can be taken at any time after you have completed the course. You can review the course material as much as you like prior to taking the tests.

Upon successful completion you will receive:

  • wallet card valid for 2 years
  • hard hat sticker

Why Get Certified?

Becoming a Certified Rigger shows you have more than just basic rigging knowledge. It demonstrates that you have met the scoring requirement of at least 80% on the written exams, completed the practical instruction video and that you have successfully passed the interview with our experienced rigging instructor.
This course certifies you to the new ASME B30.5-3.1.2.2 -2021 Qualifications for Riggers. To recognize your knowledge as a Certified Rigger you'll receive an electronic certificate, a wallet ID card valid for 2 years and a helmet sticker.
